The head of the Department of Parasitology and Veterinary Examination, Anatomy and Pathanatomy named after Professor S.N. Nikolsky, Doctor of Biological Sciences Dilekova Olga and Professor of the Department of Therapy and Pharmacology, Doctor of Biological Sciences Kireev Ivan took part in the International scientific and Practical «Baltic Forum of Veterinary Medicine and Food Security», which was held in St. Petersburg with 21 to 23 September 2023. The forum is organized in more than ten specialized sections, several sessions, conferences and round tables, where issues of national security in the field of veterinary medicine, veterinary therapy, gastroenterology, surgery, reproduction, dentistry, parasitology, anesthesiology and many other areas of veterinary activity were discussed.

One of the important events held within the framework of the Forum was the round table «Veterinary internship: What? Where? When?». Such important issues for the new pilot level of Russian veterinary education as the training of veterinary specialists interns, and the educational experiment conducted for this purpose, launched by a Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, the specifics of the organization of the educational process and the requirements for students and teaching staff were raised.

The staff of our university had the opportunity to discuss professional issues with leading Russian specialists and interact with strategic partners of the university.
