On May 25-31, Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted a practical field module for undergraduates of the World Agricultural Markets program, implemented by the Institute of World Agricultural Markets (IMAR MGIMO) with the support of the Priority 2030 program and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
The educational module consists of a series of practice-oriented classes on agriculture and is traditionally conducted in the format of field trips to leading agro-industrial enterprises in Stavropol. The program included the study of such areas as crop production, dairy farming, poultry farming, etc. The Stavropol State Agrarian University traditionally acted as the operator of the module.
During their stay in the Stavropol Territory, the students visited the leading agro-industrial enterprises and scientific centers of Stavropol, including the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Oil Extraction Plant GAP Resurs, Stavropol Gardens, Agroalliance Invest, the Alexandrovsky Buffalo Dairy Complex, the Polar Star collective farm, the Kazminsky Dairy Plant, and the Rosselkhoznadzor. Undergraduates were also able to learn more about the promotion of domestic agricultural products to foreign markets at the enterprises.
At the end of the practical module, students successfully defended cases in their chosen areas, using their knowledge in practice and offering their solutions aimed at developing the agro-industrial complex.
— I would like to emphasize the sincere hospitality of Stavropol residents. Along with acquiring valuable professional competencies, we were lucky enough to get to know the region from the inside and see many technological processes for the production of agricultural products with our own eyes. Of course, the working moments during the internship were important, but it was the warm atmosphere, communication both within our group and with experts in the field of agriculture and teachers of the Stavropol State Agrarian University that left unforgettable memories,» said Maxim Shubaev, a graduate student at MGIMO.
