As part of the implementation of the regional program for the genetic improvement of cattle, an online meeting was held with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.

The implementation of the Priority — 02030 program involves practical work in the breeding dairy cattle breeding of the Stavropol Territory. The resource and analytical base of the Stavropol State Agrarian University meets these goals: the laboratory of milk quality control and the laboratory of molecular genetic expertise, as well as the scientific potential of the Center for the Management of Highly Productive Genetic Resources of Animal Husbandry.

The meeting participants noted the high professional level of mastering the methods of assessing genetic and phenotypic traits of dairy cattle at the Institute of Veterinary and Biotechnology of the State Agrarian University, achieved within the framework of the Priority 2030 program, which allows the university to act as the operator of the agreed list of works, together with the Kurchatov Institute, ANO Innopraktika and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.

The discussion was attended by Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexey Bobryshev, Director of the Institute of Veterinary and Biotechnology, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Valentin Skripkin and head of the Strategic Project «Breeding and Genetics of dairy cattle», Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Sergey Oleinik.
