Athletes of Stavropol State Agrarian University became winners of the Stavropol Territory Weightlifting Championship among men and women. The event, which brought together the best weightlifters in the region, was held in the village of Solnechnodolsk, Izobilnensky city district. 

More than 150 athletes from 8 municipalities of Stavropol took part in the competition. Among them are the participants of the Kolos student sports club in weightlifting. 

According to the results of the competitions, the athletes of the SSAU were able to take three prizes at once. Thus, the gold medal in the weight category up to 102 kg was taken by Azamat Makiev, a graduate student of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. In the category up to 73 kg, silver was won by Vsevolod Petrishchev, a student of the Institute of Secondary Vocational Education. The bronze medal in the category over 109 kg went to a student of the Institute of Secondary Vocational Education, Chermen Makiev. In addition, Chermen fulfilled the standard of a candidate for the Master of sports of Russia in weightlifting.
