As a result of the competition, two freestyle athletes of the Stavropol State Agrarian University won bronze medals.

From May 12 to May 15, the IX Summer Universiade of Agricultural Universities of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia was held at the Gorsky State Agrarian University (Vladikavkaz). One of the stages of the all-Russian sports event was the championship in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, which was attended by about 200 athletes and coaches from more than 20 higher educational institutions of the country.

In freestyle wrestling matches, Stavropol Agrarian University was represented by a student of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources Alim Kemov and a student of the Faculty of Economics Arslan Omargitinov. As a result of sparring, both athletes won bronze medals.
