The Rector of the SSAU, Vladimir Sitnikov, held a working meeting with Olga Tomilina, Director of the Sirius 26 Regional Center.

The purpose of the Sirius 26 Regional Center is the early identification, development and further professional support of gifted children and youth who have shown outstanding abilities in the field of natural sciences, arts and sports, as well as those who have achieved success in technical creativity. Today, the Center pays special attention to agricultural education — a laboratory for the quality of raw materials and food products, a laboratory for genetic research, a laboratory for microclonal reproduction and genetic research, and others have been opened.

During the meeting, the involvement of the teaching staff of Stavropol Agrarian University in participating in the educational programs of Sirius 26 was discussed. One of the central topics was the career guidance project «Agroclasses». Participants will be able to attend classes, including on the basis of the Center, get acquainted with its leading specialists and innovative laboratories.

— For the Agrarian Sector, it is important that interested students who will «be sick» of science get to the university, especially in specialized areas. The result is a youth charged with success, the future of our region and country, — said the rector of the SSAU Vladimir Sitnikov.
