Today, Nikolai Vladimirovich Bugaichenko, a man who participated in the Great Patriotic War, an outstanding scientist, publicist, wise mentor and legendary teacher of our university, celebrates his 104th birthday.

For 35 years, Nikolai Vladimirovich worked at the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization, teaching students not only professional skills, but also important life values -hard work, honesty and love for the Motherland. He is the author of 18 books and more than 50 short stories. Even being on a well-deserved pension, Nikolai Vladimirovich continues to engage in scientific research, maintaining a keen interest in science and an active civic position.

During the war, Nikolai Vladimirovich served as a chauffeur and car mechanic. In 1943, he graduated from the Rostov Artillery College and was sent first to the Karelian, then to the Far Eastern Front. His services were awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II degree, medals «For the Victory over Germany», «For the Victory over Japan» and «For the Defense of the Soviet Arctic».
