From April 23 to April 25, the open expert dialogue «Higher Education in the New Technological Era» was held at the National Center «Russia». For three days, representatives of federal ministries, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the university community, business, and professional associations discussed approaches to updating the higher education model, taking into account technological changes, the demographic situation, and new labor market requirements.

The event was attended by Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Svetlana Maksimovich.

The expert dialogue was launched by Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The agenda focused on improving educational standards, updating the content of educational programs, strengthening cooperation between universities and employers, and strengthening practice-oriented training. Special attention was paid to engineering education, since the implementation of national goals of technological development and staffing of key sectors of the economy largely depends on the quality of training of such specialists.
