On the eve of the Russian Science Day, the first academic council was held this year.

The central topic of the discussion was the young scientists of the university, including the authors of startup projects and participants in programs for the development of technological entrepreneurship. The university management discussed the key tasks outlined by the Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut — increasing the employment rate of graduates, increasing the contingent and target recruitment. Following the results of the academic council, it was decided to increase one-time payments to defended candidates of sciences, doctors and their mentors from 300 thousand rubles to 1 million rubles.

— I see the need to increase the tools to support young scientists and motivate them to serious, fundamental research. We continue to work on ensuring high—quality personnel rotation both in the real sector of the economy and at the scientific forefront,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of SSAU.
