On November 7, the scientific and practical conference «Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in engineering solutions for agriculture» was held at the Entrepreneurial «Boiling Point» of Stavropol State Agrarian University as part of the program for the development of the world-class Scientific Center «Agroengineering of the Future». The event brought together representatives of science and education, students and young researchers, as well as industrial partners of the university — Agropromcifra JSC, Sber IT, Infocom-S LLC, APH ECO-Culture.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss modern approaches, practical cases and prospects for the use of artificial intelligence technologies and big data analysis in engineering solutions for the agro—industrial complex, as well as to form an interdisciplinary dialogue between science, education and industry.

Within the framework of the program, participants discussed key areas of the digital transformation of agriculture — the use of AI and big data in digital agriculture, the development of intelligent engineering systems and robotics, computer vision and image analysis in agricultural engineering, predictive analytics in agricultural production management, as well as the role of digital platforms and the formation of intelligent ecosystems. The conference concluded with a presentation of practical cases of AI implementation and data analysis and a final Q& A discussion, during which issues of technological barriers, data requirements and training for the industry were raised.

The conference was another step in the development of the practice-oriented scientific agenda of the SSAU and the strengthening of cooperation in the development of the agro-industrial complex.
