Four students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty won prizes in the international distance Olympiad «International Auditing Standards».
The Olympiad is organized by Karaganda University named after E. A. Buketov. The participants were students of universities in Russia and Kazakhstan. The main goal of the event is to attract students to the knowledge of accounting, international auditing standards and to strengthen the prestige of the accountant and auditor profession.
The Olympiad was held in two rounds: testing and case studies according to International Auditing Standards. The participants were students of universities in Russia and Kazakhstan. As a result of the competition, students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University won prizes: 1st degree diploma — Veronika Ivashkova, 2nd degree diplomas — Elizaveta Kuznetsova and Diana Zaborina, 3rd degree diploma — Nelli Burnasheva. Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Igor Sklyarov, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Tatyana Bezdolnaya and Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Alexei Nesterenko acted as scientific supervisors.
— The preparation of students included a comprehensive practice-oriented approach. This is the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the discipline «Audit» using modern forms of interactive classes. All this allows students to receive advanced and innovative competencies that make them competitive, and the result of this international Olympiad confirms this. At the same time, the rivals were worthy from the leading universities of Russia and other countries, — said Doctor of Economics, Professor Igor Sklyarov.
