Professor Vladimir Alexandrovich Orobets, Head of the Department of Therapy and Pharmacology, Stavropol State Agrarian University, was awarded the honorary title «Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation». The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Vladimir Alexandrovich Orobets is a Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, professor, one of the leading Russian specialists in the field of veterinary medicine. His scientific and pedagogical experience exceeds 35 years. He has been working at SSAU for more than 21 years, where he has been the head of the Department of Therapy and Pharmacology at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology for two decades.
Over the years of his teaching career, Professor Orobets has trained more than 2.5 thousand highly qualified veterinarians. Graduates work in various regions of Russia and beyond, occupying key positions in the veterinary service and the agro-industrial complex.
The scientific activity of the scientist is connected with the development of modern methods of diagnosis, prevention of diseases and treatment of animals, as well as the creation of new veterinary drugs. Under his leadership, research is underway aimed at improving the effectiveness of veterinary care and developing practical veterinary medicine. In his work, the professor pays significant attention to the training of young researchers, actively involving students, postgraduates and young scientists in scientific work.
Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of SSAU, noted that the award of the honorary title was a natural recognition of the scientist's many years of work.

The award of the honorary title «Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation» was a recognition of the many years of scientific and pedagogical work of Professor Orobets, his significant contribution to the development of domestic veterinary science, the higher education system and the training of personnel for the agro-industrial complex of the country.
