On the eve of the Day of Russian Science, the Aviatech-Agro agricultural Drone Management Championship was held.

For the first time, the participants completed the competitive tasks on agro drones — unmanned aerial vehicles used for the needs of agriculture: spraying plant protection products, applying both conventional and micro fertilizers, aerial photography, etc. During the championship, the teams demonstrated the skills of assembling COEX quadrocopters, servicing agricultural drones, using UAVs to detect fires using a thermal imager, and demonstrated the level of competence in piloting and controlling UAVs.

— The task of SSAU as a branch university is to train highly qualified specialists with advanced technologies and skills. I am sure that such initiatives will help our graduates become competitive specialists in the labor market and contribute to the development of the agro—industrial sector,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of SSAU.
