Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, held a meeting with the teaching staff. The issues of logistical support for the new faculty were on the agenda.

The Faculty of Digital Technologies will begin its work in September. An entire floor of one of the academic buildings has been allocated for the new educational unit, where the most modern high-performance equipment will soon appear. 

The faculty will also create new high-tech laboratories for artificial intelligence, network technologies and computer graphics. With their help, students will be able to gain competencies in demand in the labor market in working with AI, machine vision, IT engineering, as well as skills in working with big data.

— I am convinced that keeping pace with the rapid digitalization of absolutely all industries, we will be able to «saturate» our student with the necessary digital competencies. Our graduate will be of a completely new quality and level of training, which is necessary for employers and the economy,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of the SSAU.
