For the third year in a row, Stavropol State University conducts training within the framework of the Digital Departments project.

Digital Departments is a joint project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation aimed at building competencies and acquiring new qualifications in the field of information technology.

In 2022, Stavropol State University became one of the pilot universities where «Digital Departments» were launched. The main advantages of the project are free training, acquisition of new qualifications in the IT field and a practice-oriented approach.

This year, 576 people completed their studies under the project. The training took place in a hybrid format, including visits to the leading agricultural enterprises of the region and master classes from the university's industrial partners.

For the current academic year, the third stream has started studying at the Digital Department, which already has more than 850 students. They will master six professional retraining programs.
