Within the framework of the disciplines «Organization of breeding» and «Performance of work in the working profession „11949 Animal breeder“, students under the guidance of Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Evgeny Chernobai and Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Vladislav Zakotin visited the Center of the Cynological Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Stavropol Territory.

 The head of the veterinary service, Captain Tatiana Eremina, gave a lecture for students on the topic: «Maintenance and diseases of dogs», and the deputy head of the Cynological Service Center, Major Denis Tishchenko, gave a lecture on «Breeding in service dog breeding and dog training».

After mastering the theoretical material, students at the center were able to get acquainted with the conditions of keeping, feeding and training rules for service dogs of different breeds: Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd, Malinois (Belgian Shepherd), Cocker Spaniel. All adult dogs are kept in enclosures, and the young ones have a separate territory. The territory also has its own laboratory for assessing the quality of feed and a hospital for the treatment of sick dogs. The students got acquainted with the general rules of training, where the dog must approach the owner, overcome natural and light obstacles, walk next to the owner, landing, laying, standing, speaking, lengthening the exposure in a certain position, walking up stairs and refusing to feed.
