The All‑Russian Judo Tournament for juniors under 21 has ended in Armavir. More than two hundred of the strongest young athletes from various regions of the country took part in the large‑scale competition, competing not only for awards but also for spots at the Russian championship.
Ansar Kumukov successfully represented Stavropol State Agrarian University at the prestigious tournament. Having demonstrated a high level of physical and tactical training, willpower, and technical skill, the student of StSAU confidently passed all the preliminary stages of the competition bracket, reached the final, and won a silver medal.
The competitions in Armavir were of key importance in the season’s competition calendar, serving as the official qualifying stage for the national championship. The high level of competition required participants to maintain maximum concentration and psychological resilience in every match.
The development of student sports and support for current athletes traditionally remain important priorities of StSAU’s youth policy. The university has established a comprehensive foundation that enables students to effectively combine the acquisition of their future profession with an intensive training process and successful performances at competitions at the all‑Russian and international levels.
«We are proud of our students’ achievements in high‑performance sports and strive to create all the conditions so that young people can successfully combine obtaining a profession with reaching the peaks of sports, ” said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University.
Stavropol State Agrarian University will continue to support the development of student sports, promote a healthy lifestyle, and help unlock the potential of talented young people. Ansar Kumukov’s successful performance at the All‑Russian tatami competition was yet another confirmation of the strong sports traditions of Stavropol State Agrarian University.
