Vladislav Gavrilov, a student at the Institute of Secondary Vocational Education of Stavropol State Agrarian University, has received a call‑up to the Russian youth handball team. From November 2 to 9, the athlete will take part in the national team’s training camp, which will be held in the town of Chekhov, near Moscow.

Vladislav plays as a point guard and represents the Stavropol handball club «Viktor‑SUOR». The athlete has been devoted to handball for over 11 years. Over the years of regular training and competitive practice, he has repeatedly become a winner and prize‑winner of all‑Russian beach handball tournaments, and has consistently demonstrated high results in traditional handball.

Being called up to the Russian youth national team was a natural outcome of his hard work, high level of sporting skill, and leadership qualities as a handball player. During the training camp in Chekhov, the athlete will undergo intensive preparation under the guidance of the national team’s coaching staff, which will include practicing tactical interactions and improving his playing skills in preparation for the upcoming official tournaments.

At Stavropol State Agrarian University, priority is given to the development of student sports and the support of active athletes. The university has created an environment that enables young people to successfully combine the acquisition of high‑quality professional education with a busy schedule of training camps and participation in competitions at the all‑Russian and international levels.

«Handball has strong winning traditions in Stavropol, and we are especially pleased that students of StSAU are reaching the national level.» It is fundamentally important for us to create conditions in which young people can develop harmoniously, acquire a sought-after specialty and at the same time achieve heights in top-level sports. I congratulate Vladislav on this important stage and wish him a productive training camp, a confident game and new victories in the national team,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of SSAU.

Stavropol State Agrarian University will continue to support talented student-athletes and develop a healthy lifestyle culture. The achievements of Stavropol State Agrarian University students on the national stage confirm that the university serves as a platform for the comprehensive development of young people’s potential, their personal growth, and the achievement of high professional and sporting goals.
