Stavropol State Agrarian University has entered the top 50 best universities in Russia for the second year in a row according to the rating group RAEX (RAEX-Analytics). The results of the annual RAEX-100 rating were published on June 16, 2026, as part of the Three Missions of Russian Education Forum.
In 2026, the ranking includes 100 leading universities from 30 regions of the country. The assessment was conducted in three key areas: the conditions for obtaining a high-quality education, the level of demand for graduates by employers, and the level of research activity.
According to the results of the ranking, StGAU took 48th place among the top 100 universities in Russia and confirmed its position in the top 50 for the second year in a row. The university's final score increased from 2.61 to 2.68, reflecting the university's steady development in terms of the main indicators of the ranking.
«The confirmation of our position among the leading universities in the country is the result of consistent work on developing the educational environment, scientific research, and cooperation with employers. Integration with the real sector of the economy and leading scientific centers determines the quality of training for future specialists and ensures their demand in key industries,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University.
Stavropol State Agrarian University took 2nd place among all agricultural universities in the country.
RAEX recognized Stavropol State Agrarian University as the best university in the North Caucasus Federal District. The university took the top position in the North Caucasus Federal District both in the overall ranking and in the «Conditions for Quality Education» criterion.
