Scientists of Stavropol State Agrarian University traditionally took part in the international agro—industrial exhibition «Agrorus» — one of the largest specialized events in the field of agriculture, which is among the priority projects of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The event was held at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center in St. Petersburg. This year, more than 200 enterprises from 20 regions of Russia, as well as three foreign countries, including China, became its participants. 

Within the framework of the exhibition, an industry competition «Gold Medal» was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. For achievements in the field of agriculture and active participation in the International agro—industrial exhibition «Agrorus» Stavropol State Agrarian University received the highest award of the competition — the Grand Prix! In addition, six developments of university scientists were awarded with gold medals: 

• «Development of a modernized nutrient medium for obtaining virus-free strawberry planting material by in vitro tissue culture»;

• «Multifunctional organomineral drugs of targeted action to protect crops from diseases»;

• «Development of remote assessment and forecasting of pasture territories' biodiversity based on digital aerospace technologies»;

• «Information technology platform for parameters of climatic and geographical location of bee parks»; 

• «Interactive digital database (digital profile) of farms of the Stavropol Territory»;

• «Typology of municipalities according to the level of socio-economic and infrastructural development of rural areas». 

— The work of scientists is primarily aimed at the food sovereignty of our country. We are working to ensure that Russia has healthy planting material and a highly productive herd. I would like to note that all research is carried out not only by experienced researchers, but also by students. This is our strategy — to educate worthy scientists who bring a fresh perspective to science, — said the rector of the SSAU Vladimir Sitnikov.
