Thanks to cooperation with one of the oldest gas enterprises in the country, StGAU expects to increase the competence of future specialists in the field of energy.
Stavropol State Agrarian University and Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Stavropol Joint-stock Company will begin cooperation in the educational field. The corresponding agreement within the framework of the Caucasian Investment Forum (CIF-2024) was signed by Rector Vladimir Sitnikov and General Director of the enterprise Oleg Maslin.
The key vector of interaction will be the development of educational programs and processes for the training of specialists in the field of energy. In particular, practical training of power engineering students at the company's production facilities, organization of an internship and advanced training program, launch of targeted training and participation of the company's experts in the educational process are planned.
«This cooperation agreement is another strategic step to enhance the quality of training in the field of energy. Working together in terms of conducting practice—oriented classes and filling educational programs will allow us to significantly strengthen the competencies of future specialists,» Vladimir Sitnikov said.
It is also planned to conduct joint fundamental and applied research in the field of energy within the framework of cooperation. Other areas of cooperation include the support of outstanding students and the best teachers through grants.
«Joint work with educational institutions to train highly qualified personnel for the gas industry is one of our strategic objectives. We are interested in replenishing the ranks of gas workers with young specialists who have relevant competencies and intend to work at enterprises of the Stavropol Territory,» Oleg Maslin commented.
