Rural school teacher training starts
2026/05/05

The Russian State Agrarian University named after K.A. Timiryazev is launching an additional professional development program «Content and methods of teaching specialized agrotechnological subjects.» This program is intended for teachers of secondary schools. The main objective of the training is to introduce teachers to the modern features of agriculture.

At a time when most young people are leaving rural areas for cities and returning less and less often, the Agroclass project, implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation for two years, is of particular importance. It is aimed at teaching schoolchildren the basics of agriculture and stimulating their professional orientation towards promising areas of the industry.

Stavropol State Agrarian University is a partner of the Russian State Agrarian University named after K.A. Timiryazev in the North Caucasus Federal District in the implementation of the program. The university will have to organize the training of 150 teachers not only in our region, but also in all other territories of the North Caucasus. Classes will be held directly on the site of Stavropol State Agrarian University from October 26 to October 28, 2026.

The training of rural school teachers will be free of charge and conducted full-time with the use of distance learning technologies and culminates in final certification. The total duration of the program is 144 hours. The training of rural school teachers is free of charge.

This will be the third group of secondary school teachers from the North Caucasus, who are jointly trained by the Russian and Stavropol State Agrarian Universities under the Agroclass project.
