On the eve of the 81st anniversary of the Victory, the SSAU Veterans Council organized and held a significant and interesting conference «We remember and honor the feat of Stavropol residents» dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. in which the main characters of the scenario of this event were students.

Along with the head of the Department of Philosophy, History and Pedagogy E.V. Tufanov, curators of student groups, and members of the SSAU Veterans Council, the conference was attended by distinguished guests, members of the Council of Veterans of the Leninsky District, headed by Viktor Ivanovich Galkin, member of its Presidium, Chairman of the Commission on Patriotic, Spiritual and Moral Education, and among the guests, the Chairman of the Stavropol Alexey Pavlovich Karabut Regional Council of Veterans.

Opening the conference, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Agrarian University N.G. Guzynin drew the attention of the audience to the fact that despite the enormous trials that befell the population of the Stavropol Territory during the war, they worthily overcame them and made a significant contribution to the Victory, giving the Motherland 241 heroes of the Soviet Union. In his speech, A.P. Karabut He gave a general assessment of the feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, while focusing the students' attention on the battle for the North Caucasus, which, in his opinion, is given secondary importance, with which he categorically disagrees, justifying the great importance in the context of this war of the battle with Nazi Germany, which took place in the territory of this region of the Soviet Union.

The creative tone of the conference was given by the students with their reports, representing all the institutes and the Faculty of digital technologies of our university. The topic of their reports was dedicated to the heroes of Stavropol, who accomplished feats and composed vivid episodes of the Great Patriotic War. It is impossible not to note the vivid and informative presentations, using original elements and interesting slides by Daria Gusakova, a 2nd–year student of the IAiPR, Madina Bikarova, a 4th–year student of the IIBT, Elion Minkin, a 2nd–year student of the IMiE, Mariyat Abdulgamidova, a 1st–year student of the IEF and management in the agro–industrial complex, Daniil Khrynin, a 3rd-year student of the FTC, Anastasia Marinina — 1st year student of ISPO. For their excellent reports, which left a deep impression in the minds of all participants of the student conference, all of the above students deservedly received diplomas and collections of poems «Poetic line in the service of the Fatherland», dedicated to the soldiers taking part in their military operations in Ukraine.
