The well‑known veterinarian, expert and president of the Russian Association of Practising Veterinarians, Sergei Sereda, highly praised the infrastructure and training conditions at Stavropol State Agrarian University. The expert visited the university as part of a large‑scale tour of universities in the South of Russia and shared his impressions in an interview with the industry publication «Zooinform — Veterinary Medicine».
According to Sergei Sereda, the university stands out due to the level of development of its material and technical base, its modern approach to organizing the educational process, and its attention to students. The expert highlighted the university veterinary clinic, calling it the best in the country for working with companion animals. He also drew attention to the advanced scientific and engineering developments of SSAU using artificial intelligence and robotics, including solutions for monitoring plant diseases and robots for harvesting vegetables in greenhouse complexes.
Separately, Sergey Sereda stressed that in terms of the comfort level of the student environment — the state of dormitories, classrooms, lecture halls and the clinical base — Stavropol State Agrarian University occupies a leading position in the country. The expert also highlighted the university’s strong teaching staff and expressed gratitude for the contribution to the development of the institute to Rector Vladimir Sitnikov and Professor Valentin Skripkin.
The high assessment from the recognized industry expert confirms the correctness of the StSAU’s course towards forming a comprehensive scientific and educational ecosystem. The university is consistently developing its clinical base, research laboratories, and campus infrastructure, creating conditions in which students in the veterinary and biological fields can acquire fundamental knowledge and practical skills in an advanced university environment.
«We strive to create conditions in which future veterinarians have access to the best practical base, advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and robotics, and at the same time learn and live in a comfortable environment. It is fundamentally important for us that the university clinic, laboratories and classrooms meet the highest standards, and that students learn their profession using advanced equipment during their studies,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of SSAU.
Stavropol State Agrarian University will continue to develop the educational and scientific infrastructure, introduce innovative technologies into education and strengthen the clinical base for practical training of specialists. Recognition from the professional veterinary community confirms the status of Stavropol State Agrarian University as one of the leading centers for veterinary education and science in Russia.
