Nina Mukhortova, a senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Education of Stavropol State Agrarian University, won the World Powerlifting Championship. 

The competition, in which athletes compete in squats with a barbell, bench press on a horizontal bench and deadlift, was held in Rome. Representatives of 24 countries took part in the power triathlon. Among them are Australia, Armenia, Greece, Mexico, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, as well as Russia. Our country was represented by six people under the official flag at the World Cup.  

According to the results of the competition, Nina Mukhortova, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Education of the SSAU, was able to beat rivals from other countries and became the winner of the tournament in the open category of 64 kg with a total of 415 kg. 

«Thanks to the fruitful work of the Powerlifting Federation, we performed with the symbols and flag of our country,» Nina Mukhortova said.
