The 11th Russian Open Plowing Championship has begun in Saratov. As part of the Stavropol delegation under the leadership of Governor Vladimir Vladimirovich, the event was attended by the Rector of StGAU Vladimir Sitnikov.

The championship brought together the best machine operators from more than 50 regions of Russia and friendly countries. Traditionally, visitors will enjoy an exhibition and test drives of agricultural machinery, wine and cheese festivals, a fair of farm products, an exhibition and a parade of retro equipment, a show «tractor races» and much more. Promising breeding developments and the main achievements of the domestic agro-industrial complex will be presented in real field conditions in experimental fields.

The business program of the championship will include conferences, round tables and plenary sessions with representatives of agricultural science and business. In particular, the first meeting of the State Council Commission on Agriculture, headed by the Governor of Stavropol Vladimir Vladimirov, will take place.

It is a great honor for me personally and for the entire Stavropol State Agrarian University to represent the Institute of Agricultural education and science at such a high state level,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of the StGAU.
