Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, became the speaker of the All-Russian competition «Leaders of the agro-industrial complex» at the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. At the federal site, he addressed the finalists — heads of agricultural enterprises, representatives of science, education, civil service and the IT sector, outlining strategic guidelines for the development of the industry's human resources potential.
The central topics of discussion were the skills and managerial competencies in demand in the agro-industrial complex in the coming years, and the personnel training system for the industry. Vladimir Nikolaevich highlighted the most relevant competencies, without which it would be difficult to talk about competitiveness: genetics, bioengineering, bioinformatics, confident work with government digital systems and analytics.
«Today, the Russian agro-industrial complex is entering a new stage of technological development, which means that education should not catch up with changes, but stay ahead of them. Training should be continuous and strategically structured, from school to management level,» said Rector Vladimir Sitnikov.
