On December 15, Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted a scientific and practical conference «Current technologies and challenges in agriculture» as part of the program for the development of the world-class Scientific Center «Agroengineering of the Future». The event is aimed at involving young scientists and students in research and engineering activities in the field of agroengineering, discussing promising technologies and engineering solutions for the agro-industrial complex, as well as developing scientific and professional competencies of young people.

The program included presentations and discussion blocks on promising areas and challenges for the development of agroengineering, the introduction of digital and intelligent technologies into engineering solutions, the development of robotics and automation in agriculture, as well as issues of precision agriculture and resource conservation. The participants focused on digital platforms, software solutions and engineering services that are in demand in the industry.

The conference showed the high interest of students and young scientists in the applied engineering tasks of the agro-industrial complex and became an important step in the development of their research and professional competencies. Stavropol State Agrarian University will continue to expand the format of such events, combining education, science and practice, to train specialists in demand by the industry.
