The Faculty of Economics hosted an interuniversity round table «Rural development» with the participation of representatives of regional authorities.

Within the framework of the event, the prospects and problems of socio-economic development of rural areas in Stavropol were discussed, including taking into account the implementation of the state program «Integrated rural development». The participants presented the results of research conducted on rural households and the methodology of multidimensional grouping of rural territories developed on their basis, discussed the specifics of the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in rural areas, and also proposed a digital platform that helps farmers participate in government support and development programs.

The table was attended by Galina Feodoridis, Deputy Head of the Department of Rural Development and Investments of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory, and Olga Zvyagintseva, a researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Research of the Higher School of Economics.

As a result of the discussion, it was proposed to expand the areas of interaction between the Faculty of Economics and the authorities of the Stavropol Territory in the field of integrated rural development.
