The presentation of the project «Tourist Atlas. Investor and Manager's Guide». Artem Malgin, Vice-Rector for Development of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, told about the features.
«Tourist Atlas. The Investor and Manager's Guide is a comprehensive information product that includes several dozen information layers necessary for making decisions about the development of tourism in a certain territory. Such „layering“ allows you to visualize the recreational, investment, logistics and other potential of a region, a specific tourist territory or a single location.
The Atlas is being developed by employees of leading Russian universities, including MGIMO, StGAU, SFU, PSU, RSMU, VITIG, KalmSU, OSU. Currently, scientists are working on the architecture of the information product, which includes geographical data, as well as analytical and computational materials, expert assessments, diagrams and multi-scale maps.
Atlas developers pay special attention to the factors that influence the adoption of managerial and business decisions.
The project «Tourist Atlas. The Investor and Manager's Guide» is being implemented within the framework of the Priority 2030 support program for Russian universities.
