Shchelkovo Agrochem JSC is a powerful, dynamically developing enterprise with an ever–growing volume and intensification of production, which is included in the list of systemically important enterprises in Russia. Two varieties of winter wheat — Volodya and Ermolovka — are being studied at the StGAU Educational and Experimental Station. According to the originator, the value of the Volodya variety lies in the high protein content in the grain (up to 18-19%), and the Ermolovka variety — in the high yield potential (up to 150 and more c/ha). The varieties are characterized by high adaptive potential, high winter hardiness and drought resistance. Both varieties are resistant to types of rust and powdery mildew. Ermolovka is also characterized by tolerance to septoria.
