Researchers have developed a new method that guarantees reliable alarm delivery in wireless networks in emergency situations. The development eliminates the main problem when simultaneous data transmission from multiple sensors leads to mutual interference and loss of critical information.
In existing systems, it was a difficult and resource-intensive task to assess which node was causing interference and how quickly to find a clear channel for the signal. The paper offers an innovative solution — an intelligent model and algorithms that quickly analyze the noise and error levels in the communication channel.
Technology has a special potential for digitalization of the agro-industrial complex. The new method makes it possible to create an infrastructure that is resistant to interference and failures, which increases the fault tolerance of the entire management system and facilitates the transition to high-tech «smart» agriculture.
The results of the work have been published in the prestigious scientific journal Ad Hoc Networks. From Stavropol State Agrarian University, the authors of the study were associate professors of the Faculty of Digital Technologies Vladimir Samoylenko and Irina Samoylenko.
