As part of practical training, students of Stavropol State University traditionally master professional skills in the field.

The quantity and quality of the entire harvest directly depends on the taken harvest rates at the beginning of winter. Stavropol farmers demonstrate a decent result — more than 40% of the harvesting area has already been completed. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, the gross grain harvest has already exceeded 4.5 million tons with an average yield of 3 kg/ha higher than last year's figure.

Hundreds of teams work both in large agricultural enterprises and small farms in the region. Students also contribute by working on combines and shredders, as well as repairing agricultural machinery. 

— In the Stavropol fields, it is a hot season in the literal and figurative senses — the equator of the harvest. I am sure that our region will once again make a significant contribution to ensuring food security,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of the SSAU.
