The Russian zonal Powerlifting Championship was held in Ust-Labinsk, which was attended by the strongest athletes from the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts.

Sergey Spivak, a student at the Institute of Economics, competed in the weight category up to 83 kg, scored 300 kg in the squat, 165 kg in the bench press, and set a Russian junior record of 190.5 kg in the deadlift. With a total of 755.5 kg, he became the absolute winner of the tournament.

In addition, Polina Akinshina, a student at the Institute of Additional Education, won the 69 kg bench press with a score of 60 kg and the silver medalist in powerlifting with a score of 210 kg.
