Stavropol State Agrarian University was included in the second ranking of the best higher educational institutions in Russia in the engineering, technical and natural-mathematical fields. The research was conducted by the agency «RAEX Analytics».
In total, 78 universities from all federal districts of Russia were included in the rating. Stavropol State Agrarian University has become the only agrarian university included in the rating in the engineering and technical direction, as well as one of two agricultural universities in the natural and mathematical field.
— We see constant growth, aspiration, victories of teachers and students, so getting into the list of the best is a well—deserved result, — said the rector of the SSAU Vladimir Sitnikov.
The rating of the best higher education institutions in the engineering and natural-mathematical direction measures the competitiveness of universities within two groups of specialties. The natural-mathematical field includes such areas as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and fundamental Earth sciences. In the engineering and technical field, a wide range of engineering areas is considered (energy, construction, computer science and computing, aircraft engineering, robotics, light industry, etc.). The distribution of places in the rankings was influenced by three factors — the demand for graduates in the labor market, the quality of education and scientific results.
For the analysis, both statistical data (monitoring by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, scientometric databases, university questionnaires, data from student Olympiads websites, platforms for mass open online courses, etc.) and data from surveys conducted by RAEX agency among 38 thousand respondents — employers, representatives of the academic and scientific community, as well as students and graduates were used.
