Stavropol State Agrarian University was included in the list of 10% of the best universities in the world for 2023 according to the global aggregated rating. It is compiled by a team of experts from the Aggregator of Independent Assessment of Higher Education.

According to the results of 2023, 3,626 higher educational institutions from 129 countries, including 153 Russian universities, entered the updated rating. At the same time, Stavropol State Agrarian University became one of the two agricultural universities in Russia ranked in the top 10% and one of the two universities of the North Caucasus Federal District. Among the «neighbors» of the SSAU in this category are the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, as well as the National Research University «MEI».

— Today we are at the stage of transformation from a classical type of university to an innovative one — with high competitiveness in the global scientific and educational space. And the results of the new rating confirm the accuracy of our development strategy, — said the rector of the SSAU Vladimir Sitnikov.

Stavropol GAU has been included in the Global Aggregated Rating for the third year in a row. According to estimates for 2022 and 2021, the university was also in the top 10% of the best educational institutions in the world.

The Global Aggregated rating is a classifier of universities ranked according to the indicators of the 13 most popular world rankings, as well as one public database. One of the objectives of the rating is to understand the position and role of higher education institutions in world education, taking into account the peculiarities of local educational systems.
