Stavropol State Agrarian University shared its experience in developing agricultural education with colleagues from Buryatia
2026/10/28

The two‑day visit of the delegation from the Buryat State Agricultural Academy named after V. R. Filippov has ended at Stavropol State Agrarian University. The colleagues visited StSAU on the recommendation received following the work of the commission of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, which examined the implementation of the federal project «Personnel in the Agro‑Industrial Complex».

The delegation focused on the experience of Stavropol State Agrarian University in developing the educational environment, modernizing academic buildings and dormitories, organizing the educational process, providing practical training for students, digitalizing and equipping the infrastructure.

Representatives of two agricultural universities discussed not only the solutions that have already been implemented but also the practical issues that arise during design, construction and installation work, equipment selection, creating modern learning spaces, and interacting with domestic manufacturers.

Special attention was paid to digital services, management of educational infrastructure, and the development of human capital. The management of Stavropol State Agrarian University and Belgorod State Agrarian University exchanged approaches to creating conditions for training in‑demand specialists, improving the quality of the educational process, and strengthening the connection between universities and the real tasks of the agro‑industrial complex.

For StSAU, this visit provided an opportunity to share the practices that are already being used at the university and to discuss the prospects for further inter‑university cooperation. The exchange of experience between agricultural universities helps to find effective solutions for developing educational infrastructure, implementing modern technologies, and improving the training of personnel for the industry.

Inter‑university ties are of particular importance in the context of implementing the federal project «Personnel in the Agro‑Industrial Complex». Training specialists for the agro‑industrial complex requires combining the efforts of educational organizations, exchanging best practices, developing digital tools, and constantly updating the material and technical base.

«Today, agricultural universities are addressing a common task — training personnel for the technologically changing agro‑industrial complex. To achieve this, it is important to develop the educational environment, modernize infrastructure, introduce digital services, and strengthen students’ practical training. The exchange of experience between universities makes it possible to find working solutions more quickly and scale up best practices in the interests of the entire industry, ” said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The Stavropol State Agrarian University will continue to develop cooperation with agricultural universities in Russia, share experience in implementing infrastructure, educational, and digital projects, and participate in shaping modern approaches to training personnel for the agro‑industrial complex. The visit of the BGSHA delegation was another step towards strengthening the scientific and educational partnership between the regions.
