Stavropol State Agrarian University was included in the first rating of Russian universities on the quality of training of AI specialists. The evaluation of higher educational institutions was carried out by the Alliance in the field of Artificial Intelligence, an association of leading technology companies for the development of artificial intelligence in Russia. Among the members of the association are Beber, VKontakte, Yandex, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and other companies.

According to the results of expert analysis, 5 universities from the North Caucasus Federal District entered the first rating. Stavropol State Agrarian University became one of them. At the same time, the SSAU turned out to be one of two specialized agricultural universities in Russia that were included in the final list. 

In total, 180 Russian universities with bachelor's degree programs in the field of artificial intelligence appeared in the ranking. Among the main criteria are the demand for graduates, the relevance of the educational process in the field of AI, the educational environment and the salary of specialists in the first year after graduation. 

    — The dynamics of innovative activity of agricultural enterprises has doubled over the past 5 years. Companies are increasingly investing in modern technologies. And our task is to ensure that the educational process corresponds to the pace of introduction of new technologies into production, — said the rector of the SSAU Vladimir Sitnikov. 

    The rating was based on data from open sources, the results of surveys of employers and data from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
