Stavropol Territory entered the top 20 in terms of the number of participants in the IX season of the All–Russian Student Olympiad «I am a professional»

The results of the registration campaign of the IX season of the All–Russian Student Olympiad «I am a professional» of the Presidential Platform «Russia is a land of opportunities» have been summed up. Applications for participation were submitted by more than 215 thousand people, 3,817 of them were university students of the Stavropol Territory. The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

A total of 215,515 participants representing 1,099 Russian universities and branches submitted applications this season. The organizers prepared even more opportunities for professional growth and career start for students: 70 disciplines were available to students, including areas of priority for ensuring the technological sovereignty of the country. The «I am a Professional» Olympiad annually unites the most talented and active students and makes professionalism a value.

«The talented youth of the Stavropol Territory are forming the personnel reserve of Russia, proving their high professionalism in the projects of the Presidential Platform „Russia — the land of opportunities“, among which the Olympiad „I am a professional“. Students from 27 universities and branches of the region submitted their applications for participation in the IX season of the project. The most active were representatives of the North Caucasus Federal University (1,142 participants), Stavropol State Agrarian University (1,037), Pyatigorsk Medical and Pharmaceutical Institute (branch) Volgograd State Medical University (651). According to the head of the All–Russian Student Olympiad «I am a professional» Valeria Kasamar, the Stavropol Territory annually demonstrates high activity in the project.

«The I am a Professional Olympiad creates an environment of professional self–determination for young people, and this is especially noticeable at the regional level. In the Stavropol Territory, we see a growing interest in the project: 3,817 students chose the Olympiad as a career start, preferring such areas as Veterinary and Animal Science, Biology, and Pharmacy,» said Valeria Kasamara, head of the All–Russian Student Olympiad «I am a Professional.»

A special feature of the new season will be the strengthening of the career component. Already at the early stages, participants will have access to an extensive database of internships and vacancies from more than 700 industrial partners. They will be given the opportunity to undergo career counseling and specialized schools and receive job offers.

The qualifying stage of the IX season of the All–Russian Student Olympiad «I am a professional» of the Presidential Platform «Russia is a country of opportunities» is scheduled for the period from November 14 to December 1. It will allow participants not only to test their knowledge, but also to solve practical problems from leading universities and employers. Significant advantages are provided for the graduates of the Olympiad: benefits for admission to master's and postgraduate studies, as well as cash prizes of up to 300 thousand rubles for medalists.

The All–Russian Student Olympiad «I am a Professional» is being implemented within the framework of the federal project «Russia — the land of Opportunities» of the national project «Youth and Children» with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
