The relevant agreements were consolidated within the framework of a seminar on domestic turkey breeding.

Students of the Faculty of Biotechnology attended the scientific and educational seminar «Domestic turkey breeding in SKZOSP» at the North Caucasus Zonal Experimental Poultry Experimental Station — a branch of the Federal Scientific Center «All-Russian Research and Technological Institute of Poultry Farming» of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The event was held with the aim of building professional competencies and attracting employment after graduation as part of the Education Policy Initiatives of the Priority 2030 strategic program. The technical organization of the trip was provided by Associate Professor Vladislav Zakotin.

The specialists of the enterprise who took part in the seminar are graduates of the Stavropol Agrarian University. Director Aleksey Sheplyakov spoke about the 55-year history of the scientific institution, its achievements, problems and tasks. Senior researcher, chief livestock breeder Nina Shcherbakova presented a description of the breeds and crosses of turkeys of domestic selection. Senior Researcher, Chief Animal Technician Kirill Baidikov interactively reported on the assessment of the microclimate and feeding when keeping breeding turkeys. Researcher, senior veterinarian Yuri Titov introduced the practice of veterinary prevention to fattening poults.

Representatives of SSAU, in turn, also shared their research experience. Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Elena Epimakhova gave a description of biological and material losses in industrial and small-scale poultry farming, which reduce efficiency. PhD student Ksenia Chervyakova spoke about the practice of evaluating eggs and embryos at the university. Also, students were given the opportunity to visit the animal veterinary laboratory and be present at the analysis of turkey feed.

Within the framework of strategic cooperation, students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University will be able to conduct seminars with the company's specialists, as well as undergo internships with subsequent employment.
