The program of additional professional education «School of Young Scientists» has been completed at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Oilseeds named after V.S. Pustovoit.

Federal State Budgetary Budgetary Institution «Federal Scientific Center „All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Oilseeds named after V.S. Pustovoit“ is a strategic center for domestic breeding, production of seeds of higher reproductions for annual variety renewal and variety substitution of sunflower varieties and hybrids, soybean varieties, flax, rapeseed, mustard, ginger, coriander. The leading scientific research institution of the Russian Federation in the field of breeding and seed production of oilseeds and essential oil crops with more than a century of history. Varieties and hybrids of oilseeds created by VNIIMK scientists are included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements. They have been tested and approved for use in production. Varieties and hybrids of VNIIMK breeding are guaranteed to provide a high yield. 

On March 5-6, 2024, the Institute hosted a program of additional professional education for graduate students and young scientists «Fundamentals of breeding and technology of cultivation of oilseeds», which was attended by an employee of the Stavropol State Agrarian University — graduate student E.A. Poltavskikh. The development of the program contributed to the formation of participants' understanding of the peculiarities of sunflower hybridization for the effect of heterosis, genotyping of the existing varietal diversity of oilseeds, as well as modern elements of the technology of cultivation of sunflower, rapeseed, flax and soybeans.
