35 veterinary students from 12 regions of Russia completed their competitive assignments as part of the final of the All-Russian Olympiad «I am a Professional» in Stavropol. Stavropol State Agrarian University became the venue for the final stage in the field of Veterinary and Animal Science.
The participants had to solve complex cases based on real production situations in veterinary medicine and animal husbandry. The tasks required not only theoretical knowledge, but also the ability to quickly analyze data, identify risks, and propose informed solutions.
The practical part included assignments at specialized sites and in university laboratories. The finalists worked with the equipment, analyzed professional situations, simulated diagnostic and treatment processes, and made decisions that were as close as possible to real veterinary practice. At the same time, thematic lectures and master classes were organized on modern approaches to animal treatment and technologies for keeping farm birds, which further expanded the professional horizons.
«The participants of the final stage showed not only a broad knowledge base, but also a willingness to work in the real conditions of the industry — to make quick decisions and be responsible for the result. Such specialists are especially in demand in the agro—industrial complex today,» said Vladimir Sitnikov, Rector of SSAU.
Based on the test results, the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad will be determined, who will have the opportunity to continue their professional development and build a career in leading companies in the industry.
The All—Russian Olympiad «I am a Professional» is implemented within the framework of the presidential platform «Russia — the land of Opportunities» and is conducted by the autonomous non—profit organization «Russia — the Land of Opportunities» with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
