Staff, teachers and students of Stavropol State Agrarian University traditionally listened to the annual message of the Governor of Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirovich. In his address, the head of the region outlined the strategic directions of the region's development for the coming years, placing special emphasis on youth policy, improving the education system, early career guidance, supporting youth entrepreneurship and training qualified personnel for the region's economy.
Stavropol State Agrarian University consistently implements comprehensive work in these areas. Over the past year, admission to the University's Institute of Secondary Vocational Education has increased by 25%, which confirms the high interest of young people in practice-oriented education and sought-after specialties.
One of the key areas remains the development of the early professional training system for schoolchildren. Together with industrial partners, the university has created 114 agroclasses based on 61 schools in all municipal districts of the Stavropol Territory. This format allows us to create a modern educational environment, introduce students to the agricultural sector and build an effective trajectory of professional self-determination.
The university pays special attention to the development of student technological entrepreneurship. Over the past four years, 104 SSAU students have become winners of the Student Startup program, having the opportunity to implement their own projects and launch business initiatives.
The initiatives outlined by the Governor are already being implemented in the region. This year, it is planned to open 22 more agroclasses in the region, and the number of budget places in working specialties will be increased by three thousand.
