From May 16 to 22, the Stavropol State Agrarian University will host the interactive educational platform City of Agricultural Professions «I'm in Agro», organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. Children and teenagers will be able to get acquainted with various professions of the agro-industrial complex in a playful way, as well as learn about the production processes of products that appear on our table every day. The program is divided into two areas for different age categories: for children from 7 to 10 years old and teenagers from 10 to 18 years old. On the track «You're in Agro», young participants will embark on an exciting journey into the world of agricultural professions. The students will learn how to determine the acidity of the soil, plant seeds and get acquainted with the technique of grafting trees, learn how to feed animals and how to take care of their health, as well as conduct experiments with milk and figure out how the labeling system works. For completing tasks, children will receive in-game currency, which they can exchange for healthy treats at the City of Professions Agroindustrial Complex Store. The track «Agroheroes» will introduce teenagers to the technological side of agriculture. In a playful way, participants will try to manage agricultural enterprises, learn the way bread and cheese are produced through AR technology, visit high-tech farms and enterprises with VR glasses, and learn how specialists work with the genetic code, and much more. At the end of the program, each guest will receive a stylized photo postcard as a keepsake. In addition, a Bakery workshop with ginger cookie painting, interactive fishing and mini tractor racing for the most active participants have been prepared for everyone. Also, within the framework of the project, on May 19 and 20, Agro-digital Lessons will be held on the basis of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. Agropromcifra experts will tell you how the state information systems in the agroindustrial complex are organized — FGIS Grain, Saturn, Seed Production and EFGIS ZSN, and what role they play in the modern industry. Participants will learn how digital solutions help track the path of products from the field to the counter, accelerate the receipt of government support and increase the efficiency of agribusiness. Classes will be held in an interactive format: students will analyze real cases, complete thematic tasks and try themselves in different professions of the digital agro-industrial complex. For organized school groups, attendance is possible by pre-registration on the website.
