The educational intensive «Russian Wine» brought together sommeliers, experts and entrepreneurs on the basis of SSAU.

The speaker was Karina Soghoyan, Candidate of Technical Sciences, wine expert, member of the Union of Sommeliers and Experts of Russia, expert of Roskachestvo, head of the educational program of the Agroindustrial Complex «Academy of Russian Wine», implemented with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

Over two days, the participants

studied the role of viticulture and winemaking in the economy and culture of Russia, varietal diversity, wine classification and organoleptic analysis;

we took a virtual trip through the terroirs and got acquainted with the main wine—growing regions of Russia: Kuban, Crimea, Don Valley, Lower Volga, Dagestan, Stavropol, North Ossetia — Alania;

We studied the peculiarities of the sale of Russian wine, consumer preferences and methods of promotion based on the region of origin.
