As part of the celebration of the 95th anniversary of Stavropol State Agrarian University, a round table on «Economic education and science in the annals of the University» was held at the Institute of Economics, Finance and Management in the Agro-Industrial Complex.

The purpose of the event was to preserve the traditions and historical memory of the formation and development of economics and education at the university. The round table brought together teachers, students and graduates of Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The participants of the event were addressed by recognized scientists of the Institute of Economics, whose professional achievements have become an integral part of the university's annals. Among the speakers are Doctors of Economics, professors with many years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work: Olga Kusakina, Natalia Bannikova, Andrey Baydakov, Elena Kostyukova; Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Natalia Kulish. During the presentations, the experts emphasized the role of the university in the formation of human resources for the agro-industrial complex, emphasizing the uniqueness of educational programs and their compliance with industry challenges.

The round table was also attended by students. They presented the results of archival research on the founders of economic education at the university. The names of prominent figures who laid the foundations of the economic scientific school were named: Doctor of Economics, Professor V.A. Em (1965-1985), Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor T.Y. Polyakova (1970-1980), Doctor of Economics, Professor A.A. Polishkin (1985-1990), Doctor of Economics, Professor V.F. Bryleva (1981-1993), lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics P.A. Belozerov (1965-1991), Doctor of Economics, Professor Yu.G. Binatov (1990-2000), Doctor of Economics, Professor Ionov Ch.Kh.B. (1965-2015) Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor I.N. Lyakisheva (2003-2006). Young researchers noted that it was their works that became the foundation for modern educational standards and scientific directions.
