A single open day was held across the country as part of the national Youth and Children project. The event at SSAU brought together more than 1,000 schoolchildren.
Stavropol State Agrarian University became one of the winners of the pilot sites for the implementation of the Professional development Program in 2022 and became the educational and production center of agriculture of the Stavropol Territory. Students had the opportunity to simultaneously study theory and immediately gain experience in production.
— The Open Day is very important and relevant for us, because it helps not only to strengthen the educational and material base of our educational institutions, but also to completely review the training system of our students. The main focus is on practice. The number of hours for practical training has been increased and the training in this program has been reduced. Literally in 2-3 years, we get a ready–made specialist who will work in our region,» said Maria Smagina, Minister of Education of the Stavropol Territory.
The visit of the guests began with a solemn part and a parent-teacher meeting, then everyone went on excursions and master classes. The students mastered the methods of determining the contamination of grain and soil acidity, learned what luminoscopy is and diagnosed the car engine.
— SSAU became a member of the Professionalism program in 2022, and we have been holding open days for three years now. There are more than 1,000 schoolchildren here who will be able to get acquainted with our material and technical base. This year, it has become even better thanks to the support of Rector Vladimir Nikolaevich Sitnikov, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Nikolaevna Lut and Governor Vladimir Vladimirovich Vladimirovich,» said Oksana Ryakhovskaya, Vice Rector for Secondary Vocational Education at SSAU.
