The Stavropol State Agrarian University summed up the results of the regional meeting of student production teams.
To date, 96 student production teams and 267 labor associations of schoolchildren, which are structural divisions of educational organizations, operate in the Stavropol Territory. More than 38,000 rural teenagers are involved in the labor movement. Student brigades have more than 1,000 hectares of land and agricultural machinery at their disposal. The main economic activity of student brigades is the cultivation of agricultural crops: cereals, industrial, fruits, berries, and perennial grasses.
The 57th meeting brought together 260 high school students, winners of municipal professional skills competitions. As part of the rally, schoolchildren competed for the titles of the best in competitions in relevant agricultural specialties: fruit and vegetable grower, landscape designer, livestock technologist, ecologist, plant breeder, foreman, mechanic, agrodron operator, veterinarian, forester.
The knowledge of the participants was evaluated by leading teachers of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. According to the results of the competitions, the places in the team competition were distributed as follows:
1st place — the team of the Neftekumsky district;
2nd place — the team of the Shpakovsky district;
3rd place — the team of the Krasnogvardeysky district.
Evgeny Trukhachev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory, became the guest of honor at the event. Together with Vladimir Samoylenko, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Career Guidance, and Mikhail Danilov, Head of the Career Guidance Department, he presented well-deserved awards to the best participants. The winners and prize-winners of the competitions received additional points to the results of the Unified State Exam, and the most outstanding participants were given invitations to further study agricultural specialties at Stavropol State Agrarian University.
