The International scientific and practical conference «Innovative technologies in sheep breeding. Integration of science and practice to ensure the country's food security», organized by VNIIOK, a branch of the North Caucasus Federal Research Center.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, academicians and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the National Union of Sheep Breeders, heads of agribusiness authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation, heads of regional veterinary departments, managers and specialists of agricultural enterprises, representatives of science and the business community. Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by: Rector Vladimir Sitnikov, Vice-rector for Scientific and Innovative Work, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexey Bobryshev, Professor of the Basic Department of Private Animal Husbandry, Breeding and Breeding of Animals, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Elena Epimakhova, Head of the basic Department of Private Animal Husbandry, Breeding and Breeding of Animals, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Evgeny Chernobai, Head of the Department of Animal Feeding and General Biology, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Evgeny Rastovarov and students of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology.

Evgeny Chernobai, Head of the Basic Department of Private Animal Husbandry, Breeding and Breeding of SSAU, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, spoke about the training of personnel for animal husbandry, key problems and strategic solutions. During the conference, he discussed with Igor Serdyukov, Chairman of the SEC «Plemzavod the Second Five-Year Plan», the conduct of research by 1st-year graduate students Elena Sinyakina and Sergey Laptev on the basis of this farm.
