Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted a master class aimed at popularizing the international environmental prize «Ecology is everyone's business.»
The participants of the event, led by senior lecturer Valeria Khalikova, developed their own environmental projects and recorded their ideas in video format. The award's experts highlighted some of the students' suggestions:
Anastasia Sklyarova — «Creating a website for recycling and reuse of materials.» Users can share unnecessary items and find new ways to use them.;
Tatiana Nadeina — «Creating a community for the exchange of plants.» People can bring their surplus indoor or garden plants and exchange them among themselves. This will help reduce the consumption of new plants, promote the diversity of flora in homes and gardens, and create a platform for communication and exchange of experiences among plant lovers.;
Konstantin Egorkin — «Creation of stations from wood/ecoplastics». Moss will be located inside, it is able to produce oxygen, as well as humidify the air, some representatives have bactericidal properties. The advantages of such designs are compactness and the ability to be used as a decorative element.;
Marina Yefremova — «Environmental awareness events for children in orphanages.» As the head of the Caring volunteer group, Marina and her team will travel to orphanages and educate children about the environment. The complexity and at the same time the peculiarity of this project lies in the fact that they are often children with disabilities.
— Stavropol Agrarian University continues to actively support initiatives in the field of ecology, forming a responsible approach to environmental protection among students. In the future, it is planned to continue working on the proposed projects and their implementation within the university and beyond,» said senior lecturer Valeria Khalikova.
